Remembering Sweet Alma

Alma was always a light in the room, even when she was having a bad day, there was just something about her like that. When she would smile she would just change everything. She was always such a pleasure to have around. She was sweet, pleasant, patient and kind when she was talking and giving feedback to people.

She was quirky, confused, trying to find her way, trying to figure out how to do things. Alma could always erase the quirky confusion of everyone else because she was so non judgmental. Her clients and fellow students all loved her so much.

I had Alma work on me two weeks ago. It was honestly some of the best, most loving, effective bodywork I've ever received.

Alma, you'll be missed, more than you know...or maybe you do.

Bodywork Tip From Val: What To Do When You Start To Get Tired

Your greatest energy comes from the power in your legs. So remember to always come from your feet, through your pelvis to your tool. If you get tired you want to create more chi. To do this, activate your body even more. Don't be lazy, use your muscles more so that you stay in proper body posture, you're guaranteed to feel more energized!

Breathe and be grateful!

FAD II: Weekend Finished w/Flying Colors!

We just finished our two day Forearm Dance II: Intermediate Seminar in Los Angels and I wanted to thank each of you for participating in the class.

Most of you had taken FAD I in June. The difference in all of you, then to now was remarkable. Each changed so much in your ability to apply techniques; the ability to elongage your backs, the ability to realize that you can work hard without having to "work so hard". These techniques are designed so that you get better results in your practice.

You learned these new concepts and applied them with ease and comfort which ultimately allows for ease and support in your lives. You're able to take in more and enjoy more in your life.

The concepts and techniques you learned will help you break your old patterns and mindset. Life really doesn't have to be so hard. We can work hard, do more work, have more results and just not take so much out of our bodies.

Close to the end of the seminar I put together a choreographed demo of all of the moves that were learned. I think everyone was quite surprised to see it put together and to stand back and see what all of you learned and what all of you will be able to do with your clients.

Remember to practice with your friends and put a little into each session you have and you will notice soon it will all come easily and naturally to you!

I could not have been happier with the seminar and the students. Each of you did remarkable work and should be as happy and proud as I am.

Again, thank you for attending, I look forward to seeing you all at the next seminar!

Enjoy The Dance,
Val

June 22 Seminar Finished!

What an amazing group of people we had at yesterday's Los Angeles seminar! Thank you to all of you who attended.

We had people who were not just from the Los Angeles area, but people who came in from Texas and Montana, Northern California and Las Vegas, it was really quite incredible.

We appreciated the openness and excitement that you brought with you to start the day, which allowed us to have such a wonderful experience in instructing you.

What we, my Teacher Trainees and I, noticed about each of you was this, the way you entered the seminar, was not the way you left. Each of you really made remarkable transformations, both in your minds and in your bodies. For some of you, the change happened earlier in the day, for some a little later, but it occurred for each of you. You learned to think differently, to process differently, to hold your bodies differently and to feel differently.

I'm never amazed by these transformations, always though, so pleasantly surprised. It was wonderful, creative and moving for me to spend the day with each of you, getting to know you and having you allow me the gift of teaching you. I know that what you learned will continue to change you and your practice. I look forward to the oppertunity to see you in another seminar.

Until then,
Enjoy The Dance
Val

About Forearm Dance

I've practiced massage for 27 years, and have instructed for 25 years. My practice ranges from 8 to 10 clients daily, and sometimes even more!

I attribute my success and longevity to the use of "efficient body mechanics" within a technique I developed - Forearm Dance™. Forearm Dance ™ will teach practitioners how to give a fluid, full body massage, using only their forearms and olecrenons, thus reducing injury to their hands.

The Forearm Dance ™ Technique will also allow massage practitioners to work with proper body mechanics, reducing stress and injury to their own bodies. If you too want to have the same longevity in your career that I've had in my own practice, learning "maximum efficiency with minimum effort", then Forearm Dance™ is the technique for you!
